The ChoicePoint Achievement team is comprised of individuals with a variety of backgrounds and experiences.  Whether they provided mentoring for students or coached son/daughter teams, they know what it takes to encourage and be encouraged for success.  Combined, this team has a plethora of experience in coaching/mentoring, education/teaching, leadership development, facilitating teamwork, motivation and more!  Above all else, the ChoicePoint Achievement team is dedicated to “Building Character & Confidence in Young People” in order to achieve success in their personal, athletic and professional lives.

  • Bob Henricks

    As a Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ChoicePoint Achievement, Bob brings a wealth of experience to the organization.  He has spent the last 30 years in various capacities of leadership, selling, sales/operations, management, and business ownership.  He started his professional work in Houston, Texas where he eventually relocated several times throughout his career.  He has been successful in every endeavor and finds great joy in knowing he started working in business from the ground up.  He has tremendous experience in personal one-on-one coaching, start-up situations with individuals, turn-around situations with individuals and established, high performing individuals as well.

    In addition, Bob has been the President of a locally owned and operated training and development company for the past 13 years.  He has local, national and international speaking, training and coaching experience.  He is familiar with people from all walks of life and has assisted these folks in striving to become the best performer that they are capable of becoming.  In his experience, Bob has been asked to work with a vast number of young people to assist them in their particular area of concentration.  The results that his clients have been able to achieve are simply remarkable.  This is where the heart of being a founder in ChoicePoint Achievement was created.

    Bob has been blessed with a special gift of speaking to people in a group setting and has a highly engaging one-on-one style.  In a group setting, he has the ability to make everyone in those sessions feel as though he is speaking specifically and directly to them as an individual while delivering to a group.  Bob also has the talent to create an atmosphere of enthusiasm and motivation.  He clearly leaves his clients knowing:

    • They know what to do
    • They know how to do it
    • They can and will make the right choices to get it done

    One of Bob’s personal goals with ChoicePoint Achievement is to ensure that each and every individual that experiences his company is able to go forward with high degrees of confidence, execution and proper use of the tools that ULTIMATELY lead to a successful and fulfilling life.

    Bob and his family relocated to Charlotte, NC in 1997 from Columbus, Ohio. He has four daughters: Ashley 20, Christine 16, Abigail 15, and Caitlin 13. He enjoys spending time together with his daughters as well as with friends. Those who are familiar with Bob know that as priorities go, things are very clear. They are as follows: his Christian Faith, his daughters, and the clients he serves in his business

  • Keith Davis

    Keith has 30-plus years of successful assignments within Fortune 100, small and mid-cap companies as Board Member, CEO, President/COO, CFO, General Manager and Director of Operations. He has held permanent and consulting positions in world-class manufacturing and service organizations, and has comprehensive experience in both domestic and international operations. He and his wife lived in Colombia, South America for 2 years, speak Spanish and their daughter was born there.

    Keith has earned a reputation for outstanding leadership in complex, brand-based organizations and, in particular, companies facing transition. Using strong communication and consensus-building skills, he specializes in developing and executing strategies supported by solid financial planning, innovative operational improvements, and performance measurement processes. He is a certified Total Quality/Continuous Improvement facilitator.

    He joins ChoicePoint Achievement with the shared passion of helping young people make better choices early in life and planning and preparing for what they want to do, rather than just “waiting to see what happens”. He has been involved in this type of activity for many years and assisted many young people, through internships, seminars and personal counseling.

    In his free time, he is equally passionate about physical fitness and can be found in the gym almost every morning. He holds a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has trained numerous individuals over the years, including two young men who went to the AAU games in Seoul, South Korea, and returned home with gold medals.

    Keith holds a BS degree from Indiana University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin.

    He and his wife have lived in Charlotte for 6 years. They have a married daughter living in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and a son who lives in the Baltimore area.

  • Jeff Mirgon

    Jeff Mirgon will be serving as the Chief Sales Officer for ChoicePoint Achievement (CPA) based in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Jeff has over 22 years of sales and management experience with companies ranging from Fortune 100 to small enterprises, including President/CEO of a highly successful local business.  Jeff has spent quite a bit of time in the coaching ranks and expects to bring those lessons learned and a team spirit to CPA.

    One of Jeff’s personal goals with CPA is to share three solid life principles with each participant in the program, principles passed on to him by his father and grandfather – you will receive out what you put in -  always do the right thing – and be organized to be efficient.  Rarely does a day go by where Jeff doesn’t share these principles with those with whom he comes in contact with.

    Jeff currently resides in Chapin, South Carolina with his beautiful wife (Diana) of 16 years, along with his three children, Kathleen (15), Ross (13), and Grant (9).   Jeff  has been fortunate to have his family share in his passion for sports and his highly competitive spirit.  Away from work, Jeff can be found coaching Kathleen in lacrosse and watching her run at cross-country meets.  He also coaches Ross in basketball and Grant in football, soccer, and basketball.  When time permits, he enjoys spending time with the family at the lake.

  • Pat Colson

    Pat Colson serves as the Executive Director of Coaching for ChoicePoint Achievement.  His expertise involves professional sales managing multimillion dollar accounts, business ownership, leadership, administration, and project management. Specifically, he exhibits strengths in sales techniques and systems, economics and accounting, customer needs and assessment, strategic planning, and psychology.

    Coupled with his professional background, Pat has been playing, coaching, and teaching baseball for over 34 years. His coaching career began over 22 years ago, providing a superior instruction program that gets results; he has trained athletes at the youth, high school, collegiate and professional levels in both the mental and physical aspects of the game.  Pat provides a positive learning environment in which students thrive.  To this end, he created the Warrior Training Program to empower students to take control of their training, focus on solutions, increase self-awareness and mental toughness, and dare to dream big!  Valuable skills such as goal setting, behavior modification, and parental coaching are keys to students’ success.

    Growing up in Ohio, Pat earned All Ohio honors during his high school years as a catcher and as a quarterback.  During college, he was a two-sport athlete and understands what it takes to lead and win. He was invited to Spring Training with the St. Louis Cardinals and competed against the best.  Pat is also a decorated veteran of the United States Air Force serving his country after his baseball playing career ended.

    Pat’s goal for ChoicePoint Achievement is simple.  Using his own personal challenges, failures and triumphs as evidence to inspire and encourage others to believe that anything is possible with the development of self-control, self-awareness and self-discipline.  It doesn’t take long in a conversation with Pat to feel his energy and enthusiasm for helping others and his passion and professionalism easily engages adults and students.  His motivation when starting everyday is to find a way to serve others.

    Pat is married with four children and two grandchildren; a daughter Shauna 23,  sons Anthony 19, Alec 11, Ace 7 a granddaughter Lucy 4 and a grandson Jude 2.   Since he has no “spare” time, he enjoys leisurely activities with his family.  Having experience with children that range in age from 23 to 2 years old provides him with a deep understanding of the exact nature of the concerns and aspirations of all parents.  It is with great fervor that Pat believes living a Godly life is the only life worth living.

    Rodney’s longstanding background in Information Technology (IT) will serve him well as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for ChoicePoint Achievement.  He has spent the last 20 years working in a variety of business computing environments ranging from small business to Fortune 100.  While completing degrees in both Computer Science and Math, he served in various IT capacities in these organizations.  He quickly gained promotions in the corporate ranks by showing a great work ethic, extreme dedication and loyalty, and the ability to get the job done.  Additionally, his experiences while playing baseball at the collegiate level uniquely positions him to work with athletes who desire to play at the next level.

    Rodney has founded and operated several successful IT businesses since 1997.  These enterprises allowed Rodney to engage and gain valuable exposures to a variety of complex IT infrastructure and business solutions.  These companies currently serve the Charlotte Metro area for both residential and small business IT services, ranging from IT security, infrastructure, hardware, software, and managed and cloud based services.

    One of Rodney’s personal goals for ChoicePoint Achievement is to share with each individual in the program his passion for personal development and motivation that has proven effective with his own children.

    Anyone who knows Rodney knows that he takes seriously the old adage that states “God, Family, and Work” to heart.  He and his wife Leslynn currently reside in Indian Trail, NC are and are the proud parents of four great children, Brantley (18) who will be attending Gardner-Webb University and play baseball for them in Fall of 2011, Brittany (15) who is currently involved in competitive cheer with Charlotte Allstars, Breanna (13) , high school soccer and cross-country girl, Braden (10) plays competitive baseball with CBC/On Deck organization.   Rodney enjoys spending time (mostly at ball fields) with the family and some occasional personal time golfing and off-shore fishing.

    Neely is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of ChoicePoint Achievement.  Neely has over 8 years of experience in Marketing and Sales as well as an extensive background in education at all levels, K-12.  Neely brings a unique blend of expertise to the organization.  Neely’s success as a sales representative for an educational, curriculum resource company led to her promotion to Director of Product & Sales Training for a national sales team.

    Neely was also the Director of a non-profit organization that provided High School students with an opportunity to attend a two-week music business camp in Los Angeles and Nashville.  Neely was responsible for promoting the camp to high schools in all fifty states.  In addition, Neely recruited music industry professionals to donate their time to conduct seminars at the camp.

    Neely has a passion for helping and encouraging students to succeed within areas they are passionate.  One of her personal goals for ChoicePoint Achievement is to impact and influence teens with professionalism and life skills that will elevate them to the next level in whatever they strive to accomplish.

    Neely is a graduate of LSU with a Master’s Degree in Education and is a Certified Teacher, grades 1stthru 8th.  After graduation Neely moved to Charlotte, NC to begin her career as a 7th grade math teacher.

    Neely has been involved in numerous sports from basketball to year-round swimming to select soccer and high school varsity soccer as a Freshman.

  • Gina Herald

    Gina has 20+ years of experience as a leader in business.  Her background includes the restaurant industry, manufacturing/distribution, and a long, successful career as a local and regional leader for a Fortune 500 retailer, supporting 22 of their stores across 11 states and managing $30M in sales and inventory.  She was recognized over the course of her career there as a 3 time recipient of the “Inverted Pyramid Award” given for consistently demonstrating servant leadership, and won the “Anniversary Cup” award for outstanding preparation, execution and results by a team during a key volume period.

    She has experience in sales, marketing, customer service, business development/strategy implementation, coaching and training.  She has a passion for great service and a focus on people development.  In 2006 she started her own company, Personal Success Partners, which is devoted to helping companies and individuals embrace, develop and maximize their personal and professional potential.

    Gina is a Midwestern native and graduate of Columbia College, in Columbia MO.  She was a successful high school athlete, earning letters in 3 sports and MVP honors in 2 of the 3.  She also competed in track and field as an AAU junior Olympian.  She loves all sports, still plays a few recreationally and watches amateurs and pros whenever she can.

    She is also passionate about community service and leadership and is very involved in the business and volunteer community in Charlotte.  She is an Area Director and Trainer for Business Network International supporting 10 local chapters and their leadership teams.  She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Business Owners, where she was recognized in 2008 as the “Rookie of the Year” and honored in 2012 as a finalist for “Woman Business Owner of the Year.”   Gina is a member of the Charlotte Christian Chamber and Southpark Toastmasters.

    Gina’s desire to make a contribution at ChoicePoint Achievement stems from the fact that she believes that everyone has amazing potential, natural gifts and talents and a passion for some type of vocation.  She hopes that by helping young people focus on developing their vocational potential and path proactively, they’ll have a better opportunity to pursue their passion and purpose and build a strong social and economic foundation and future for themselves and their families.

    Gina and her husband David, who is a Licensed General Contractor and Radio Host, welcomed their first grandchild in August of 2012 and look forward to watching him develop his potential.
